| David
Beeler
was born and raised in a small town in Texas (Kerrville), where
he used to sneak his Mom's camera out to take photos at the 'ripe'
old age of 8. By the time he was 17, he was running a professional
photo lab while pursuing his other great passion, acting. This led
him to London (England, not Texas), where he studied acting at The
Central School of Speech & Drama. David lived in London for
10 years, doing everything from Hamlet to Ritchie Valens in Buddy.
Now in LA, he still acts, you might see him on TV. He is a member
of the sketch comedy troupe, Lester
McFwap. He and writing partner, Tom Konkle, of Dave
and Tom fame have launched a production company, Pith-E Productions
to develop short form comedy for emerging technologies. David is
also a photographer (www.beelerphotography.com)
and writer and creator of all the images on the greeting cards.
David
considers himself very blessed to not only love what he does, but
to do what he loves with the lady he loves (i.e. the love of his
life). (They met at a photo shoot; yes...she is a model.) David
now feels that his former life as Ghandi is finally paying off...
Marieke
Beeler was born Marieke Klosse and grew up in a small town
'Wijk bij Duurstede' in The Netherlands. As a teenager she used
to play tennis at a national level and dreamed about combining study
and tennis in the United States. An injury kept her from pursuing
tennis, but not the study. After achieving her degree in Communication
Management at the Institute of Higher European Studies in The Hague
(Netherlands), she moved to Boston and got her Master's degree in
Integrated Marketing Communication at Emerson College.
Marieke
has studied and worked in several different cities and countries:
Salamanca & Madrid (Spain), Brussels (Belgium), Florence (Italy)
and Boston (MA) and speaks 6 languages: Dutch, English & German
(fluently), Spanish, Italian & French (conversational). While
concluding her Master's program with an internship at a large PR-firm
in Los Angeles, she realized for the first time that this was a
city where she could picture herself living. Fate? Maybe, for it
was this very city where she met and became friends with her future
husband, David. "I considered him one of my best friends, until
I realized I was in love with him. Now I get to spend my life and
create a business with my best friend and love of my life. I love
the adventure of entrepreneurship and combining both our strengths
and backgrounds while creating products that make people smile and/or
feel good." |
